NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual Election of the LeRoy Fire District, a joint fire district encompassing both the Town and Village of LeRoy, will take place on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 between the hours of 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM at the LeRoy Fire Station located at 4 Clay Street, LeRoy, New York 14482, for the purpose of electing one Fire Commissioner for a five (5) year term commencing January 1, 2022 and ending December 31, 2027.


All persons residing in the LeRoy Fire District at least thirty (30) days next preceding the election, and duly registered with the Genesee County Board of Elections on or before November 18, 2021, shall be eligible to vote.


Candidates for Fire District office of Commissioner must file their names in writing for the position they are seeking with the Secretary of the LeRoy Fire District no later than twenty (20) days before the election, by November 18, 2021, by mailing to 4 Clay Street, LeRoy, New York 14482.  Filing of names received by the Secretary after 5:00PM on Thursday, November 18, 2021 shall be invalid regardless of any postmark or other indicia of mailing.

Notice of Regular Meetings

Please take notice that the Board of Fire Commissioners of the LeRoy  Fire District of the Town of LeRoy, County of Genesee, New York, will hold its regular meetings during the year 2021 at 7:00 o'clock P.M. in the meeting room in the LeRoy Fire Station at 4 Clay Street, LeRoy, New York.  Dates of these meetings will be as follows:

 February through October – Second and fourth Tuesdays of each month

 October 19th, 2021 (3rd Tuesday) – Public Hearing on Budget for 2021

 November – One meeting on November 9, 2021

 December – Two meetings - December 14 and 28, 2021

All meetings of the LeRoy Fire District Board of Commissioners are open to the public.

This notice is being posted in accordance with the provisions of Section 104 of the Public Officers Law of the State of New York.
