Please take notice that the Board of Fire Commissioners of the LeRoy Fire District of the Town of LeRoy, County of Genesee, New York, will hold its regular meetings during the year 2010 at 7:00 o'clock P.M. in the conference room in the LeRoy Fire Station at 4 Clay Street, LeRoy, New York. Dates of these meetings will be as follows:
January through October – Second and fourth Tuesdays of the month
October 19, 2010 (Tuesday) – Public Hearing on Budget for 2011
November – November 16, 2010 – ONLY MEETING
December – December 21, 2010 – ONLY MEETING
All meetings of the LeRoy Fire District are open to the public.
This notice is being posted in accordance with the provisions of Section 104 of the Public Officers Law of the State of New York.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
THE LeROY FIRE DISTRICT IS SOLICITING BIDS
FOR INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE OF WATER BACKFLOW PREVENTERS
The LeRoy Fire District invites submission of bids for annual inspection and maintenance of four water backflow preventers located in the Fire Station. Bids for this work will be received until 5:00 PM on Friday, August 20, 2010 at the Fire Station, 4 Clay St., LeRoy, NY 14482, at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read aloud. Bids must be submitted sealed, and include on the face of the envelope the name and address of the bidder, “Backflow Preventer Bid” and the word “Confidential”.
The contractor must be a New York State Certified Backflow Device Tester as required by the New York State Sanitary Code. The work will consist generally of annual inspection of one 4 in., two 1½ in. and one ¾ in. backflow preventers as needed, and the provision of written New York State DOH-1013 test reports promptly to the Monroe County Water Authority, and the owner.
Bidding shall be in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders, which may be obtained by phone at (585) 768-7424, by FAX at (585) 768-9559 or by e-mail at jspear3@rochester.rr.com. Arrangements to view the equipment may be made by phoning the District Secretary at (585) 768-7424.
The LeRoy Fire District reserves the right to reject any and all bids without comment, and to accept the bid best suited for its specific needs. Bids will be binding for sixty days from bid opening.

The LeRoy Fire District invites submission of bids for semi-annual inspection and maintenance of HVAC equipment and one ice cube making machine in the Fire Station. Bids for this work will be received until 5:00 PM on Friday, August 20, 2010 at the Fire Station, 4 Clay St., LeRoy, NY 14482, at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read aloud. Bids must be submitted sealed, and include on the face of the envelope the name and address of the bidder, “HVAC Bid” and the word “Confidential”.
The work will consist generally of semi-annual inspection of one roof-top gas fired HVAC unit, five overhead gas fired infrared heating units, six exhaust fans and one ice cube making machine, with replacement of filters, belts, etc., and lubrication, as needed, and the provision of written reports of conditions found and services provided.

NOTICE OF SALE
LEROY FIRE DISTRICT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, in anticipation of the delivery of a new replacement apparatus; Pursuant to Town Law – Article 11 - § 176.(23), the Board of Commissioners of the LeRoy Fire District will receive bids for the sale of one surplus fire apparatus as follows:
A 1989 Pierce pumper/tanker VIN 1P9CT01H4KA040707, with 1,250 GPM pump and 1,000 gal. tank. Also, two 10 ft. lengths of hard suction hose, one 35 ft. extension ladder, one 14 ft. roof ladder, one 10 ft. attic ladder.
Arrangements to view the apparatus in the LeRoy Fire Station, 4 Clay St., LeRoy, NY 14482 may be made by phoning (585) 768-7424. The apparatus will be sold on an “AS IS, WHERE IS” basis.
The minimum bid to be considered shall be $5,000, with a $1,500 certified check or bid bond to accompany bid. This deposit will be refunded to unsuccessful bidders. Balance shall be paid, and apparatus removed by September 24, 2010, provided that the replacement apparatus has been received and placed in service by that time. If the replacement apparatus has not been placed in service by that time, payment and removal shall be as soon as possible after it has been.
Sealed bids will be received at the fire station noted above until 5:00 PM on Friday, September 10, 2010, at which time they will be opened and publicly announced. Envelopes containing bids must be prominently marked “Apparatus Bid” on the front. The Fire District reserves the right to reject any or all bids without comment.
